General Information:
|
The Red Mill library
is a busy place! Students can be found browsing our shelves for
fun books to read or researching information on the Internet. We
have 7 computers students can use to search our OPAC (Online Public
Access Catalog). And we have over 20,000 books and magazines to
choose from! |
|
Students
in grades K and 1 may choose 1 book. Kindergartners return their
books each week, when they come into the library for a story from
Mrs. Youssef.
Students in grades 2-5
may check out 2 books or magazines, for 2 weeks at a time.
We don’t have overdue
fines, but when a book is overdue the student may not check out
any other book until the late book is returned.

Lost Books: |
If
a book is lost we will have parents sign a form saying they are
aware of the lost book.
By signing the lost book form, parents are allowing their child
to continue to borrow library books while they keep searching for
the lost one. Parents don’t have to pay for the book until
the end of the semester at which time we’ll send them a bill.
Hopefully the book will show up before the bill has to be mailed.

Volunteers: |
We
have many parents who volunteer in the library. Some work the morning
shift, from 8:00-11:00 and some work the afternoon shift from 11:00-2:00.
It’s a fun way to get to know the Red Mill students.
